Fcalcioli: updated to add some reference to why its a THR

Vitex agnus-castus, also called vitex, chaste tree, chasteberry, Abraham's balm, lilac chastetree, or monk's pepper.

This is medicinal according to the entry in the old "Odd ingredient encyclopaedia" but we have no reference or source for that data. The product does appear in Access, but should not be sold.

There is reference to Agnus Castus being approved as a THR on the [https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/herbal-medicines-granted-a-traditional-herbal-registration-thr/herbal-medicines-granted-a-traditional-herbal-registration MHRA database], which backs up that they would consider it medicinal.

The word natural is controlled in law by the FSA. Customers cannot just use it to describe those things that are not natural.

Many ingredients we frequently use are not natural. Most vitamins and minerals used in supplements today are synthetically made in factories, so cannot be described as natural. Only those things that grew and have had minimal processing since can be called natural.

While G&G does not directly tell customers what to say on their label, staff should be careful not to imply that the use of the word natural is acceptable, unless they are quite certain it is appropriate to so do.

Stand Up Pouch

Stand Up Pouches are a packaging option that customers can make use of.

G&G does not supply stand up pouches directly, unless they are plain kraft (brown) pouches. Normally customers should be told to supply their own fully printed pouches. Customer supplied labels can be stuck onto a plain pouch if required, but this is rarely a logical option.

Pouches are available from Swisspac. The contact there is Rupin Rughani sales2 at swisspack.org.uk (remove the spaces and replace at with the symbol).

Stand up pouches must have their own grip seal, allowing them to be squeezed shut prior to sealing. This is because the bags are turned on their size to be heat sealed, and the product would fall out if the bag is not pre-closed.

Pouches are normally given a best before end date by having a small sticker stuck onto it's gusset.
