Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus).

According to email from Mark on 28/11/23: Astragalus, the powdered root is not Novel and okay to use. Any extract of Astragalus root is now a Novel Food and not permitted. However, it was being challenged in the EU and evidence was put forward that it did have a history of use. It has not been resolved yet (March 2024), this post will be updated as soon as it is.

This means R2191, R2343, R3692 and R3835 are currently not to be used for any products that will go to the EU. This change is post-Brexit, so UK products may not be affected.
