What is Novel Food?
Novel Food is one of the classifications of Odd Ingredients used by G&G.
Novel Food is defined as food that had not been consumed to a significant degree by humans in the EU before 15 may 1997, when the first Regulation on novel food came into force.
Novel Food and G&G
G&G is not permitted to use any ingredients that are considered Novel Food in supplements that we create. You can find the Novel Food Catalogue from the European Commission here.
