Silicon is an element and the second most common in the earth's crust. It has an atomic number of 14 and the symbol is Si, it is also sometimes referred to as silicium.

Silica is a compound, also called silicon dioxide, it is found in nature, its symbol is SiO2.

Silicone is a polymer with various industrial applications, the seal around your bath is silicone.

Silica or silicon dioxide is the only form we use at G&G, there are natural sources, like bamboo or horsetail, which contain silica or it can be manufactured and used as an additive to prevent powders sticking and clumping.
