Amazon Compliances
Amazon can often produce many weird and wonderful requests to customers for evidence of compliance.
In the past this has taken the form of origin requests, manufacturer's statements, material safety data sheets (MSDS), HACCP certification, HFSS (High in Fat, Salt and Sugar) compliance, and even one time Amazon requested that the food be registered in line with electrical waste regulations (obviously this was a mistake on their part)!
As a result of this inconsistent approach, it can be hard to tell what to do when Amazon request documentation which it may either be, impossible to provide, or is not relevant to the product, or we have it but in the wrong format for Amazon's compliance team.
HACCP or GFSI; G&G has made a pre-set email to send to customers who are asked for HACCP certification or GFSI certification. Due to Amazon's inconsistencies, it may be rejected the first time, however inform the customer not to worry as this is expected and is a result of Amazon's inability to adequately establish their requirements. With repeated appeals (template included in pre-set email) the HACCP system will be accepted as compliant.
